- Recyclable paper cups for our to-go cups.
- Coffee bags are recyclable and customers receive 50 cents off
when they bring their bag back to be refilled with coffee beans.
- Collect and recycle all plastics, paper, and glass.
- Replaced light bulbs with CFL bulbs where possible.
- Buy consumables from local
businesses.
- We use air-conditioning during business hours only, and reduce
the heat during hours when closed.
- Old air-conditioners are being replaced with energy efficient
ones and our boiler system has been replaced with a more efficient
model.
- Give away coffee grounds to local
gardner.
- Customers and employees are given covered parking for bikes.
- Meetings are posted for the Missouri Climate Protection
Initiative on our bulletin board, and we donate a room for those
meetings.
- We will continue to look for ways to reduce the impact we have
on the environment.

-
We recycle soda cans during our special
events.
-
We reduce food waste by preparing and
cooking items as needed. Most of the time, we wait for a customer's
order before we cut vegetables and meat.
-
We donate our used frying oil to a
community member for fuel generation.
-
We leave lights off unless needed (even
in the gallery area).
-
We maintain air conditioning and heat
for the comfort of our customers during business hours only.
-
We use cloth towels for most clean-up.
-
Most of our employees walk to work
