Students enrolled in CF 290/291: Preschool Participation Lab gain knowledge and experience in developing and implementing classroom activities for young children. In this course and its accompanying lab students are taught techniques for responsive planning and implementation of developmentally appropriate programs for preschool children using emergent curriculum. My SoTL project this year is to investigate if students with an emergent curriculum model in their university classroom have a deeper understanding of this approach to working with young children.
