Tip To make a single-return line, hold down the SHIFT key while
tapping the ENTER key.
Log on to your SharePoint Designer Web for first time on a
machine:
- Start SharePoint Designer
- If SharePoint Designer appears on your desktop, just double-click on the icon
- If you don't see a SharePoint Designer icon then:
- Click on your "Start" button
- Move your mouse pointer up the menu until it is over "Programs"
- Move your mouse over into the field to the right of "Programs"
- Search in that field for the SharePoint Designer icon.
If you still haven't found it in either of these places,
SharePoint Designer is most
likely not installed on your machine.
Click on the "File" menu item on the menu at the top of the window.
Move your cursor over the "Open Site" option and click.
- If you don't see this option, move your cursor over the double-chevron at the
bottom of the menu. This item looks like two v's; one on top of the other
Now, a new window should appear. In the field beside "Folder name" type in
your website address. For example, you might type in “http://cstl-cla.semo.edu/YourName”
in this field (minus the quotation marks).
In the new screen that appears, type in your SoutheastKey username (also known as
your SEKey username) and password into the appropriate fields.
Click on "Open" again.
