Dr. David Starrett, Director
Dr. Starrett has served as Director of the Center since 1999 and Dean of University Studies since2004. He received his Ph.D. in Plant Molecular Biology from the University of California at Los Angeles in 1992. He has been at Southeast since 1995 and tenure in the Department of Biology.

Chris Callow, Instructional Technology Support Specialist
Chris worked at the CSTL first as a student from 2002 - 2006 while pursuing a degree in graphic design. He graduated from Southeast in 2006, and then worked in the telecommunications industry for a few years. He rejoined the CSTL in October 2009. In his current position Chris helps maintain technology in the student andamp; faculty labs and coordinate with Floyd in providing technical support.

Floyd Lockhart, Technology Support Specialist
Floyd has worked at CSTL first as a student from 1996 - 2001, and then as a full time staff member since 2002. He graduated from Southeast in 2000. His current position at the CSTL is to ensure that the graphics and technical teams are working in the right direction and that all of their projects are successful; in addition he handles the training of new employees.

Waleed Malik, Technology Support Technician
Waleed worked at the CSTL first as a student from 2001 - 2004 while pursuing a BSC in Applied Computer Science, which he completed in December 2004.He rejoined CSTL as a full time staff member in January 2005. In his current position he works with Floyd to ensure the graphics and technical teams are working in the right direction and that all of their projects are successful.

Guohua Pan, Instructional Design Specialist
Dr. Guohua Pan is the newest member of CSTL, starting in March, 2009. As the Instructional Design Specialist, he facilitates the integration of technology across curriculum at the Southeast. Guohua devotes much of his time to provide consultancy for the faculty on the design and development of online courses, in collaboration with Southwest Online Director. Guohua eared his Ph. D in Educational Psychology/Instructional Technology from a Canadian university: The University of Alberta in 2005.

Sondra Phillips, Administrative Assistant
Sondra has been the CSTL Administrative Assistant since May 1996. She enjoys the great diversity of duties the office provides and enjoys working with everyone. She loves to quilt and play with her grand children: Sierra (4 years old) and Evan (11 months old). She is excited about her new grand daughter to be born in April 2010.

Brian Smentkowski, Faculty Associate
Dr. Smentkowski has served as Faculty Associate in the CSTL since Fall 2004. In that role, he oversees various elements of the CSTL's involvement in Teaching, Learning, and Assessment endeavors as well as the work of the Teaching Associates Committee, the SOTL Fellows Program and the Teaching Enhancement Workshops for New Faculty. He earned his Ph. D in Political Science from the University of Kentucky in 1993. He has been at Southeast since then, with tenure since 1999.

Marcio Vieira, Instructional Web Manager
Marcio has been working for the CSTL since 1996, when he started as a web page developer. Currently, he develops instructional software and runs the Internet servers that host web-based and web-supported classes at Southeast. He graduated with a degree in Computer Science from this university in 1999.

Tom Westbrook, Assistant Instructional Web Manager
Tom has been working for the Southeast Information Technology department since 1999 and recently joined the CSTL on a part-time basis. He will be assisting with the development of OIS as well as the with server maintenance and general OIS support.

Matt is a graduate student from Park Hills currently pursuing his MBA in General Management. He began working at CSTL in the Summer of 2009. After graduating Matt hopes to get a job in the field of international business.

Chelsea is a graduate student from Piedmont, MO currently studying the Masters of Public Administration. She worked for Southeast Online while completing her undergraduate studies in economics and political science. In the summer of 2009 she began working at CSTL as a graduate assistant.

Chelsea is a sophomore at SEMO. She is majoring in nursing and hopes to get into the nursing program next year. She loves playing with her 7 month old Parker. She has been employed at CSTL since September 2009.

Michele is a single mom of a 10 year old son, and a sophomore at Southeast majoring in Interior Design. She is originally from Escondido, CA, and she attended Escondido High School and San Pasqual High School. She started working for CSTL in May of 2008.

Stephanie is a Junior at Southeast. She is pursuing a degree in Dietetics with a minor in Spanish. After graduation she plans to get a Masters degree in Dietetics and become a Registered Dietitian.
