Where's the Pedagogy?

In some ways, the technology is the easy part.  Once you are comfortable with that, the next question is, "When do I use it?  Where do I use it?  How do I use it?  Why do I use it? etc."  In fact, probably that should be the first question which then leads to the technology.  In reality, the technology tends to lead the process though.

CSTL/OIT has done workshops over the past few years on the pedagogical integration of technology, particularly the Web.  Below are a few links to some of these workshops.  I did not check every workshop out for broken links, etc.  So, it is possible you will find outdated or broken links or other similar errors.  The point is to just glance at these to see what angle facilitators took in talking about these issues.

Lastly, here is an issue we have not done a workshop on (yet) but certainly should.

  • Assessment on the Web

You can probably think of other issues that we have not addressed or listed above.

After having looked at these, what ideas do you have for effectively incorporating Web pages into your teaching?  What will you need help with in reaching this goal?
