Welcome to the

CSTL Wired-Wednesday Workshop

What is it?

Why should I do it?

Examples

Note:  if you have audio or video that you want streamed, just bring it to CSTL and they will do it for you.

The best use, though, is to be able to make your own Streaming PowerPoint shows:

Some examples, with lessons learned, from using streaming PowerPoint over the years:

  1. think about introduction slides.

  2. prepare a script, don't just, ah, talk.

  3. use more images/slides than you would in class (no more than 30 seconds per slide).

  4. try not to talk through slide transitions.

  5. make sure you record in a relatively quiet place.

  6. be prepared for students to have problems.

Currently we have to use Microsoft Producer for PowerPoint to stream PowerPoint presentations at Southeast (because it's free).  So, what does it do?

How do you do that?
