Some Uses of Clickers

• Monitor student understanding of concepts during lectures.

• Administer pop quizzes on reading and assignments.

• Administer before and after quizzes to show students what they have learned.

• Take polls asking students what they want to know more about.

• Take polls on sensitive topics/feelings.

  • Students might not feel comfortable raising their hands when asked about certain issues.

• Take attendance (especially in large lecture classes) and award participation points.

• Maintain student interest by providing some level of interactivity.
