MMUN 48 2008 Prep Page
The Midwest Model United Nations Conference will be taking place from November 13th to the 25th, 2008, in St. Louis, MO.
SEMO will be representing the countries of Bahrain and Oman.
BAHRAIN is represented on the following bodies, and will be discussing the following topics at MMUN:
General Assembly First Committee
Topic A - Establishment of a Nuclear Weapons-Free Zone in the Middle East
Topic B - Implementation of the Convention on the Prohibition of the use, stockpiling, production and transfer of anti-personnel mines and on their destruction

Topic A - The External Debt Crisis and Development
Topic B - Implementation of Millennium Development Goal Eight: Developing a Global Partnership for Development
General Assembly Third Committee
Topic A - Enhancing the Progress of the United Nations Literacy Decade: Education for All

Topic A - A Comprehensive Review of the Whole Question of Peacekeeping Operations in all of its Aspects
