SoTL Associates

In the Fall of 2007, an implementing committee was formed to work closely with the SoTL Fellows and to facilitate the successful completion of projects.  This new committee --the SoTL Associates-- originally consisted of three past Teaching Associates and four former SoTL Fellows.  Each has made significant contributions to the scholarship of teaching and learning, and combined they represented a wealth of knowledge, expertise, and experience in assisting others with the development, execution, and completion of SoTL Projects. In short, the Associates have served as peer experts, meeting with the Fellows throughout the academic year, pursuant to the group agenda.  In 2012-13, the dynamics changed, with three SoTL II Fellowship holders and two former Associates becoming recipients of Fellowships. This provided the opportunity to meet less as Fellows and Associates, and more as a SoTL working group, led by CSTL Faculty Associate and SoTL Fellows founding member and PI, Brian Smentkowski. This experiential leadership cluster consists of:

Brian Smentkowski CSTL Faculty Associate, SoTL Founding Member, Associate, FFR CCG PI
Margaret Waterman SoTL Founding Member and Former SoTL Associate
Beverly Evans SoTL II and Former SoTL Associate
Dana Schwieger SoTL II and Former SoTL Associate
Roberta Humphry SoTL II and Former SoTL Associate
