Roundtable Discussion: Drafting Public Policy on Global Issues. A discussion by students attending the Global Strategic Trends Seminar at the Center for Strategic and International Studies

Students who attended the Global Strategic Trends Seminar at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) in Washington, D.C. will discuss the policy recommendations they developed during a simulation activity in which they served as Cabinet members in a newly-elected President's administration. The policy recommendations relate to Energy Issues, Human Rights, International Security, Population and Demographic Shifts, and Stewardship of Natural Resources and are designed to prepare the President to constructively engage the global community in each of these areas. Southeast students will be selected to attend the CSIS seminar scheduled for the spring 2008 semester. If you are interested in global issues and attending next spring's CSIS Seminar, the CSIS panel discussion will be informative.
